After the successful Wall Hanging No. 2, I wanted to be more ambitious, with this sculpture made of 8 components. I envisioned a shape like a wreath and it was a challenge to engineer it so that it maintained that shape.
Created separately and then combined using enamelled rivet-like pins, they feature embedded bronze wire and earthy tones of mostly opaque enamel, with some exposed raw (burnt) copper that will patina naturally over time.
The 8 x 11.5-inch sculpture hangs from a clear, nylon line within an 11x14 box frame.
