The idea here was to make a decorative but utilitarian object, a small painting that doesn't just take up wall space. I'm pretty pleased with the way it came out and plan to make more. The only problem is that most modern switchplates are for "rocker" switches and they would have very little real estate for decoration. Another challenge!
Constructed from 18-gauge copper sheet, it utilizes transparent enamel and bronze wire. The screws are custom-painted with Acrylin, a bake-on enamel-like paint.
