This was my first foray into using Crackle Enamel, a technique where a special enamel is put down as a base, which causes enamels layered on top of it to break up into unexpected patterns and textures. Some colors "crackled," like orange, while green stayed pretty much normal. Interesting!
This .75 in. x 3 in. pendant is enameled on 18-gauge copper and hangs from a 20 in. steel cable festooned with gemstone beads of Citrine, Rutilated Quartz, and Peridot. It also features a handmade, bronze clasp.
