This is the third in what I originally thought would be a 3-part series of "homage to the diorama" (my favorite homework assignment from grade school). But, as I am currently working on a fourth, this series may be on-going.
This 7 x 5-inch piece is encased within a store-bought box frame. The background is a section from an old oil painting I made in the 1980s. (The painting was obviously not a success, but I kept a couple of pieces of it because I liked the colors.) The "figure" is mostly transparent enamel on copper (a little opaque pink at the bottom), with copper wire and a Cherry Quartz bead.
