This is the fourth in what I originally thought would be a 3-part series of "homage to the diorama" (my favorite homework assignment from grade school).
This 5 x 7-inch piece is encased within a handmade box frame. The background is a section from an oil & Puffy Paint on foam-core painting I made in the 1980s. (Can't remember now whether or not I intended to add color later, but never did.) The "figures" are all opaque enamel on copper, with copper wire.
The enameled figures and the background are unrelated and I like the tension created by seeing bits of the background through the holes in the figures. It constantly changes as the viewing angle changes.
