We were in L.A. and I saw a purse in a boutique; it was made of shiny, black patent-leather strips alternating with deep blue suede strips. The color combination struck me and made me want to run home and adapt it myself.
I envisioned it on a metal chain and it took quite a while before I found this great French Rope Chain made of real bronze. But it's finally complete. The 1-1/4" x 3" pendant is opaque enamel on copper, with bronze wires, which are also used for the bail and hook-and-eye clasp (not shown) on the 25" chain.
